Summer Soulstice Festival '23

Summer Festival Season in Milwaukee is hard to top if we’re being completely honest. Last night I made a quick solo trip down to MKE’s eastside to check out SUMMER SOULSTICE Festival this year. Disclaimer, there is never enough Rap / Hip-Hop that grace the stage(s) at SS but shoutout to Wave Chappelle and NilexNile respectively for their sets. Nile had the pleasure of closing out the night but I split as he was beginning his set.

Obviously the drinks are the easy part. The challenge is always identifying the best food options while there are so many options to choose from.

Started off with a LAVENDER LEMONADE Popsicle from CHILLWAUKEE ; I highly recommend it. My actual food choices for the evening:

  • Rib- Tips | JUNIOR’s BBQ

  • Chicken Fried Rice | MIL- WOK - EE

For the entree(s), I’ll just say that I’m sure best restaurants have had better performances. Let’s just say I won’t be in a rush to revisit either spot anytime soon.
